Accessories

To support our primary motion system components ABTech provides the following accessory equipment

• Tilt and Center Worktables for our rotary air bearings and rotary motion products. These allow fine adjustment of the part under test to be accurately centered and leveled to the axis of rotation of the air bearing spin table. This is essential in TIR and roundness / cylindricity gages where the part might have an irregular shaped mounting surface or fixture.
• Gage Stands for applications requiring a stiff and stable platform for gage head support. Our toolroom (GST) series is a manual positioning and clamp design. Our inspection (GSI) series is larger for taller applications and has a rack and gear drive for the vertical positioning and a friction drive and lock for the horizontal positioning. The gage holder (GH) series is a modification of the toolroom style designed specifically for side mounting onto granite bases for the small TIR gages.
• Granite Base and Stands to provide a flat and stable platform for the most demanding air bearings and motion applications. To achieve high precision position accuracy and ultra-precision motion performance it is most critical to begin with a solid foundation. Natural granite provides the most cost effective and stable platform available. In some air bearing applications this granite base becomes an integral part of our motion system and is essential in achieving the final customer driven specifications. These granite bases are supported by passive vibration isolators and structural steel fabricated weldments that are epoxy painted to provide a high quality system platform.
• Motion Controls for turn key applications. We integrate our ultra-precision air bearings and motion products with servo amplifiers, motion controllers, operator interfaces, and application software to provide application specific turn key systems.
• Filter/Regulator Units to ensure a clean and dry air supply to the air bearing components and systems. Two stage units include a 0.3 micron coalescing final filter element to prevent the smallest of contaminant particles from entering into the critical air bearing surfaces.
• Electronic Gage Packages combine electronic lever style gage heads with ruby tipped probes and analog amplifiers for accurate geometry measurements.
• Tunable Vacuum Feed Systems offer safe parts holding for smaller, more delicate parts. Vacuum pressure is generated from the compressed air line using the Venturi method and controlled with a hi/low/off pressure switch.
• Rotary and Linear Motor Drives, encoders and amplifiers integrated specifically to the customer's application requirements to deliver optimized precision without introducing vibration or other interference.
