Ultra-precision geometry measurement systems
ABTech inc's air bearings are often used as a reference axis for geometry measurements of manufactured components. ABTech has developed many rotary and linear air bearings to provide simple, cost effective high accuracy gage products for metrology applications.
Our AT series rotary air bearings with tilt and center worktables combined with electronic gages, amplifiers, and granite bases provide precision TIR gage packages for checking total indicated runout (T.I.R.). Vacuum feed through center safely and securely holds optical lenses or other sensitive parts. Ideal for individual work piece inspection, lens alignment, ID to OD runout and tooling alignment.
ABTech inc has developed a setting master distance gage using a natural granite rail and air bearing slide for setup of I.D./O.D. beam type gages. The granite base in combination with the air bearing slide ensures a stable and low maintenance gage. The measurement system can store up to 16 linear offsets for increased accuracy with 80 inches of horizontal and 6 inches of vertical travel.
ABTech's precision air bearing linear slides offer a high accuracy solution to the most demanding optical radius inspection applications. The fully captured air bearing carriage offers friction free motion while the natural granite rail provides a stable and straight guide way with 1 meter travel.
Single or dual plane thickness measurement gages using natural granite bases, Heidenhain Metro probes, gage stands and digital readouts (DRO) provide ±0.5 µm (±0.00002") system accuracy.
