Runout

ABTech’s runout gages provide an accurate and repeatable platform for tight geometric tolerance measurements. These gages are engineered to provide easy setup and reliable O.D., I.D. and flatness runout (also called T.I.R. or total indicator reading) measurements.

Our runout gages are compact and portable, requiring only a clean and dry air (or nitrogen) supply and your choice of indicators. A robust and super-accurate air bearing rotary table serves as the reference axis.

ABTech’s adjustable tilt and center (tip/tilt) work tables allow you to precisely align your part to the axis of rotation, taking misalignment errors out of your measurement. The air bearing tables are mounted to inspection-grade granite surface plates with multiple gage post locations to give you maximum flexibility.

OPTIONS

Clear thru-hole for cable access or a light source for lens alignment; vacuum feed through the center to hold sensitive parts safely and securely.

ACCESSORIES

Electronic indicators with ruby tipped probes; analog or digital gage amplifiers; multiple gage holders; welded steel base frames with vibration isolation leveling feet; precision scroll chucks.

ACCURACY

System radial and axial error motion under 5.0 micro-inches (0.125 micron); angular error less than 1.0 micro-inch/inch (0.025 micron/25mm).

APPLICATIONS

Shop floor measurements of precision machined parts; incoming parts inspection for vendor compliance; optical lens inspection; lens system assembly.
