ABTech inc offers a full line of ultra-precision air bearing linear stages for applications requiring ultra-precision linear motion, such as linear straightness measurement, linear positioning, high-velocity, ultra-smooth, constant velocity and linear systems requiring no static friction. Standard slide and carriage designs or custom engineered for customer specific application.

LAB series linear air bearing stages are ideal modular components for wafer scanning systems, computer-to-plate systems, linear measurement and vision systems, and pick-and-place production automation where precision positioning is required.

Standard Linear Air Bearing (LAB) Series

  • Ultra-smooth motion with no static friction
  • Two accuracy grades for cost effective design
  • High load capacity and stiffness with low air consumption (0.8 to 1.5 scfm @ 60 psi)
  • Magnetic or vacuum preloaded or fully constrained carriages (tool mount area)
  • Dovetail (-D), rectangular (-R) and square (-S) box style rail configurations
  • Aluminum, stainless or nickel plated steel, granite, and ceramic rail options
  • Fully supported or end supported rail mounting
  • Vertical or horizontal configuration
  • Several sizes and travel lengths available
  • Available with multiple carriages on common rail
  • Stackable mounting configurations
