Y-Theta Air Bearing Stages

Ultra-Precision Combination Rotary & Linear Motion

ABTech inc's Y-Theta stage combines ultra-precision rotary and linear air bearings to produce ultra-precise mult-axis motion. Adding DC brushless motors and high resolution non-contact encoders provide smooth controlled motion and nearly absolute repeatability. Adjustable tilt and center worktables accurately position part for measurement or assembly.

The Y-axis slide is based on ABTech's LAB-8R series fully constrained air bearing boxway linear slides. The Theta or rotary axis is one of ABTech's AT-150 air bearing rotary tables with optional vacuum feed through the center for holding small sensitive parts in place.
